As landscape architects and planners, it’s always been our goal to find a balance between the natural environment and the forces of development. EP/A has been active in this process since 1962. The terminology for sustainable site design may have changed, but the overarching ideas behind it have not.
We’re excited to showcase the skills we’ve developed over the past four and half decades and pleased to say that we’re keeping pace with new methods of insuring that our work is as green as we say, such as designing for the point system used by
LEED. We also have years of experience in Low Impact Development (LID), using natural processes to reduce and clean stormwater runoff. LID provides natural beauty, wildlife habitat, and usually saves the client money when compared to conventional measures.
“Sustainable development meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
